Independence Day

Happy 4th of July! We hope that you all had a wonderful holiday! We had so much fun! Peyton loved all the fun things that we were able to do! There was a neighborhood parade that we marched in. It was very cute. We tried to get Peyton to ride his bike, but he wanted to walk. He looked like a stud though.
This is Peyton and some of his friends lining up for the parade.
While waiting for everyone he decided to play in the grass.
The parade ended at the park and we all got yummy popsicles!!!
All the kids had fun playing at the park. Peyton loves to climb through this tunnel. He climbs through to the other side, but instead of getting out he turns around and goes through the other way. He does this over and over again.
Later that day we went to the Blacksburg parade. Peyton loved it. He saw lots of animals, danced to the music, and saw firetrucks. Daddy and Peyton got lots of candy! That night Daddy took Peyton out and they caught fireflies. Then Daddy put on a fireworks show. Peyton sat very still and stared, but was slightly shaking. He seemed to like it, but they made him a little nervous. Of course this was late at night so Peyton was very grateful when we laied him in his crib to go to sleep. You would think staying up til 10 would make you want to sleep in a little, but not Peyton....he was up brigt and early at 6:30! Oh well. Anyways it was a very fun and 4th of July! Even though holidays are ver fun we can't forget the meaning of wy we celebrate. I am proud to be an American and grateful for all the sacrifices people make so that we can live in freedom.
